Why is there evil in the world? Listen carefully. There is mother who is embroidering. Her son sitting on a low stool sees her work, but upside down. He sees the knots of the embroidery; the tangled threads, and says: “Mather, what are you doing? Your work is not at all clear?”. Then the mother lowers the embroidery frame and shows the right side of her work. Each colour is in its place and the variety of threads form a haemonious design. So, we are seeing the reverse side of the embroidery. We are sitting on the low stool.

Perché il male nel mondo? ” Sta bene a sentire… C’è una mamma che sta ricamando. Il figliuolo, seduto su uno sgabelletto basso, vede il lavoro di lei; ma alla rovescia. Vede i nodi del ricamo, i fili confusi… E dice: “Mamma si può sapere che fai? E’ così poco chiaro il tuo lavoro?!”. Allora la mamma abbassa il telaio, e mostra la parte buona del lavoro. Ogni colore è al suo posto e la varietà dei fili si compone nell’armonia del disegno. Ecco, noi vediamo il rovescio del ricamo. Siamo seduti sullo sgabello basso.
